Review Summary & Conclusion
The Osprey Talon has all the essentials and makes a great choice for all various activities. It comes in a variety of sizes and colors to fit your needs perfectly. If you needed one pack to do it all, the Osprey Talon daypack is for you because the Talon is a versatile, lightweight and comfortable daypack. This pack is great at keeping you organized with various mesh and zippered pockets for easy storage. Dual mesh hydration pockets on either side of the bag and can fit a one-liter water bottle each but note that it’s hard to reach when the pack is on your back. An external sleeve in the back can fit a three-liter water bladder keeping you hydrated for longer day trips.
The Talon features the AirscapeTM mesh covered accordion foam back panel to keep you cool, while the Biostrech harness and seamless hip belt keep the pack secure on your back. The front mesh pocket stretches for easy, outside of the main pocket storage. This mesh front is great for items you don’t want or are too bulky to keep in the main compartment such as spare boots or shoes. The lid-lock helmet attachment holds your helmet when you’re not riding, skiing or climbing. All sizes feature adjustable torso length, and hip and chest straps. Truly a great daypack.

How We Got The Results
Comfort
With adjustable shoulder straps, this pack can be modified to fit you. BioStretch harness and continuous wrap hip belt allow the pack to sit comfortably and make it easy to move around in. You won’t have to worry about this pack sliding around on you when in technical situations or running down the slopes.
Weight
Osprey did a great job by creating a pack that has all these features while still maintaining the overall weight of the backpack at a minimum. It’s not the lightest of the ultralight daypacks but a great choice for those who seek a daypack that has the best of both. It’s not a self-stuffable pack but it can be packed and placed almost flat in a duffle bag or bigger travel suitcase.

Versatility
The Talon pack should be your go-to before heading out the door. Great for day hikes with plenty of space for snacks, water and other essentials, this pack is also great for every-day use. If you’re planning to hit the gym on your commute, the outer mesh pocket is great for shoes, keeping them out of the main compartment of your bag. The hip belt and comfortable fit make it easy to commute via bicycle and lid-lock helmet attachment gives you a place to store your lid. The secure fit of the hip belt makes this pack great for more technical activities such as climbing and skiing.
Build Quality & Durability
This pack is built with the user in mind. Though lightweight, this pack is durable and high performance. The Atilon frame sheet across the back panel distributes weight evenly across your back. Seamless lumbar and hip belt body wrap allow the pack to sit snugly and comfortably for long periods of time. Stretch woven mesh pockets fit bulky items without the worry of busting a zipper.
